Geeta has ten years’ experience in the Climate and Just Transition field in South Africa. She spent five years at the National Business Initiative (NBI) where she worked on building business ambition and capacity for climate and just transition action and managing and implementing collective action projects together with the private sector, government and other stakeholders. Geeta is currently working with the African Climate Foundation where she leads the South Africa Country Programme with a portfolio of grantees and fiscal host partnerships focused on enabling the Just Energy Transition in the country. This includes providing direct support on strategy development, network building, and project management support to the JET Project Management Unit (JET PMU) housed in the office of the Presidency. Geeta has her MPhil degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Stellenbosch.
